Saber Smith Spotlight Chepota Lightsaber

Some slides in the original post were videos; still frames are shown here.

Perhaps at the pinnacle of custom saber building are saber smiths that create sabers from end-to-end - everything from designing the hilt, machining and weathering the parts, designing the internal chassis and installing the electronics. The skills needed to do every part of this complex work calls upon every technical tool in the saber smith arsenal from hardware to software. Without a doubt, only a handful of smiths in the world are capable of such feats.

The fourth instalment in this series taking a look at one such saber smith - Gary Morris of @the_outer_rim_outpost . This fourth Exhibit in this series features a unique saber named The Chepota (Chickasaw for Child), built by Gary in 2022 to celebrate his new child. The double-kinked hilt uses an @ignitionsabers Mercury, and other custom elements including a custom machined metal chassis and crystal chamber. Powered by a 18650 battery with a 2.1mm recharge port and CFX for light and sound.
