Disney 100 Celebration of Character

Unveiling the first look at “A Celebration of Character” - the Disney 100 Anniversary Commemorative Saber.

Custom designed, acid-etched and hand-painted by Vaults of Valhalla, this lightsaber features 100 Disney characters from Mickey & friends, to all the Disney Princesses and friends, to Winnie the Pooh and friends, and even the Aristocats! Every paint colour is matched to the iconic colours of the characters and painstakingly done by hand one at a time, sometimes with just a toothpick. Even before the painting begins, weeks of work went into the cohesive design bringing all the characters together, before the acid-etching and prepping can happen to prepare the saber to be painted. The gorgeous artwork is further embellished with little touches of hidden Mickey, the Magic Kingdom castle and even the signature “D” on the pommel. An epic masterpiece to commemorative one hundred years of Disney.

This Heirloom Exhibit also features the first ever removable metal chassis designed for the Valkyrie hilt, by JQ Sabers. The copper, brass and aluminium metal chassis features the latest Proffie neopixel texhnology, a rotating Kyber crystal chamber and OLED display. More than a dozen fonts featuring quotes and music from Disney movies over the years add that touch of magic and wonder we all love about Disney.
